Are there any extra fees?

Prices are inclusive of boat, fuel, and captain’s fee.

Additional fuel surcharge may apply for full-day trips that leave local waters (ex. Block Island or Martha’s Vineyard trips). Any temporary dockage or transient fees are the responsibility of the party (ex. dockage fee if you elect to go ashore at a marina for lunch or dinner).

Gratuities for the captain/crew are in addition to the charter fee and greatly appreciated (typically 20%).

Customers will receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Weather cancellations and determinations are made at the sole discretion of the captain. If a guest cancels between 72 and 24 hours before the trip, Generations Charters will retain 50% of the trip cost. Guests canceling after 24 hours will forfeit the entire price of the charter. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about cancellation. No-shows will be charged full price.

We suggest you bring snack and BYOB (please no glass bottles). Sunscreen and sunglasses, and bathing suits and towels if you’d like to go for a swim. Sweater or light jackets are recommended especially for an evening cruise as it’s always a bit cooler on the water than it is on land.

Yes, all of our vessels have marine heads (bathrooms) with running water.

Our boats are licensed by the US Coast Guard to carry 6 passengers plus the captain and crew. If you have more than 6 people we can arrange a multi-boat charter for you.

Of course, our vessels are equipped with Fusion marine sounds systems that are Bluetooth enabled. Feel free to connect your phone to our sound systems. The boats are equipped with Sirius XM Satellite radios – they are normally stuck on Margaritaville or the Reggae station, but you can choose your own channel!

Of course – there are several waterfront restaurants and bars on Narragansett Bay that are perfect to travel to via boat. We would be happy to arrange a custom trip where we bring your party out for the evening. This is an especially popular option for bachelorette parties.
